PPL's Official form for a Personal Assistant who receives Medicare to opt out of PPL Health Insurance - the Minimum Essentail Coverage plan, which is otherwise mandatory. PPL has a second plan called "Minimum Value" plan, but PAs may simply opt not to enroll in this plan. At this time, only Medicare beneficiaries may decline coverage. This is now the official PPL paper timesheet for CDPAP Personal Assistants to complete if they cannot access or use PPL's timekeeping app. The form says it is for temporary use thru 4/26/25. After that date they will need an exception from PPL not to use the Time4Care app. This form has an email address, mailing address and fax number to submit the completed timesheet, which must be signed by the consumer. Bill would repeal the law enacted in 2020 from the "Medicaid Redesign Team II" that will raise the minimum requirements for qualifying for Medicaid personal care, CDPAP, and MLTC enrollment. The law was put on hold during COVID but is likely to be implemented later in 2025. It will require new applicants for home care or MLTC to need physical assistance with 3 Activities of Daily Living (ADL) with the sole exception of people with dementia or Alzheimer's who can qualify if they need verbal assistance with two ADLs.
